Update from Friday
I called my doctor's office today asking what the results of my blood test and glucose test were, and the results were good! I passed the glucose test with flying colors, but my blood work showed me to be a little anemic. She told me to suppliment with iron, which I can't tolerate, but said that taking an extra flinstone vitamin should do the trick. The extra iron is for me, not the baby, so it is really no big deal. Next appointment is Feb. 15th with her partner, so we will see what happens then!!

Back to the Doc!
This week has been a busy week! Thursday, Mom, Dad, Jesse and I went to the Rascal Flatts concert, which was really a blast! We were afraid that the baby wouldn't like the music, but it turns out that country music must be soothing, because she was pretty calm through the whole thing! A few times she started dancing, but it was short lived, and we all had a great night.
Friday was another doctor day, which I was really dreading because I had to drink my Glucola for a glucose tolerance test. They will call me on monday if I fail it, at which point I will schedule a 4 hour test. Hopefully it doesn't come to that, and all turns out well. I now go to see my doctor every 2 weeks (we are getting closer folks!!), and my next appointment is with another doc just in case mine isn't around when the baby decides it's time to come out.
Saturday I worked the morning, and had some friends over for dinner. It was really nice to see some old friends and play with a baby, since I will have one myself soon! I really enjoyed the time with them, and hope to have more times like it soon!
Tomorrow is superbowl sunday, so it will be a lazy morning as Jesse has to work all night and won't be home until 7am. Then I am going to make a milestone and get paint and supplies for the upstairs, followed by watching the game tomorrow evening. Great end to a busy few days!! Next weekend is the farm show, so Jesse and Dad will go to that, and Mom and I will come here and do some painting...YAY!!! I am really getting excited that things are moving along!

January Doctor Appointments
I had 2 appointments this week, the first being with the RA doc on wednesday, and today with my OB. My RA doctor did an exam on me and asked if I had looked at the papers he gave me, meaning the information on the shots, and I told him yes. I had looked at them, and decided that I didn't want to do any of that since there is no evidence that suggests that is is harmful or not to the baby. I stated I wanted to nurse for awhile after the baby was born, and I would see how my condition did before discontinuing and starting shots. I go back to him in a couple months.
The OB appt. was un-eventful also, which is a good thing!! She measured me, and I seem to be measuring fine, then we listened to the heartbeat. That never gets old!! I love to hear and see signs of life in there...it is still unreal sometimes!! My weight gain is a little on the low side, but she said just to eat healthy, and she didn't seem concerned at this point. As long as everything is ok, I am fine with low weight gain! I go back February 5th, at which point she will check me for diabetes, so I got sent home with instructions and a drink that I have to consume an hour before my appt. Looks fun!
Baby is moving more and more, and Jesse can feel her of an evening when I am laying down and quiet. Last night I felt her body for the first time as she was trying to push through my side!! That hurt, but when I pushed back she moved and that seemed to be the end of it.

Happy New Year!
It has been a busy holiday season! We had Christmas parties every weekend, and a few in between, which really wore me out, but we had a wonderful time visiting with friends and family! Things are going well, and the baby is making plenty of movements! It seems like she is doing either tumbling or karate in there on a daily basis! My energy level comes and goes, but I definately can't go for the all day shopping sprees that
I used to...much to Jesse's pleasure!
I had 2 doctors appointments early in the month, but seemingly no time to make any posts about them!
Our last appointment with the OB was December 2nd, ultrasound showed we were having a girl, and that everything was completely normal. I go back again on friday for a check up, but nothing big.
My rheumatoligist visit didn't go as well, he didn't like how swollen I was at my last appointment with him, and put me on a low dose of steroids which seem to be helping. He also wants to start me on the biologic shots, which I refuse until after the baby is born. I see him again on wednesday, so we will see what he says.
